Police Officer III Victor Tan is a Police Officer within the LAPD Vice Squad and has since been a member of the SWAT three years earlier.

He is portrayed by David Lim.

Biography[]

He is a native Chinese American from South Los Angeles; he was born to Fei Tan and an unnamed father. He also has a brother, Jacob. His father was diagnosed with schizophrenia when he was born.

Tan's latest appearance in dress blues in Season 7, Episode 7, at the retirement ceremony of Dominique Luca, confirms he is a Police Officer III, as denoted by the insignia on his sleeve.

Bonnie Lonsdale[]

Their wedding was delayed due to the Globe situation. In Lion's Share, he is devastated to discover from his friends that she was having an affair and promptly threw her out of their home, while ignoring Bonnie's attempt to talk. As a result, Tan kicks Bonnie out of the house. After she leaves, he angrily punches a hole through the wall. The next episode shows him spiraling, being unable to control his anger or focus about his crumbling marriage.

During "Bunkies", she and Tan are filing for divorce. They are preparing to sell their home but Bonnie attempts to hold off it, since she thought it might be too soon for them to separate but Tan realized her lover had dumped her and did not want to be her last resort. Regardless, he considered her offer after she told him that might be able to work it out and that she still loved him, as he realized her conviction. At the end, he ultimately decided that it is for the best if they divorce.
