Season Eight is the eighth and final season of S.W.A.T.. On April 11, 2024, CBS announced the renewal of S.W.A.T. for the 2024-25 TV season. This season has premiered on October 18, 2024.

- On April 11, 2024, due to the reverse decisions of the final season, CBS eventually reinstated the series for an eighth season with 22 episodes.[1]
- This season will remain on Friday at 8:00PM and has moved to 10:00PM for midseason.[2]
- This will be the first season not to feature Rochelle Aytes (Nichelle Carmichael) as a series regular due to her schedule conflict for the new series Watson, then she would appear in a guest role for this season.[3]
- It has premiered on October 18, 2024.[4]
- Niko Pepaj has upgraded to series regular and Annie Ilonzeh had been cast in a recurring role.[5]
- As of this season all Radio call-signs are different/changed to the following:
- Officer Tan (22-David), Officer Powell (24-David), Officer Alfaro (25-David), Officer Gamble (26-David)
- As of December 12, 2024, Annie Ilonzeh has been upgraded to series regular.
- On January 9, 2025, this season would be on temporary hiatus for production due to the ongoing wildfires, however it resumes the production for today indoors 4 day later.
- On March 6, 2025, this series announced to end after eighth season and two previous saves.[6]
