Recap[]

Hondo and Darryl return back home from their vacation trip to Australia, only to find Daniel Sr. living at his home, while they were away.

The team anticipates Hondo's return and are excited their boss is back, their first mission is to go out and apprehend a celebrity thief who's been robbing high profile celebs, while out on the mission to nab the bad guy, they spot a drone which at first looked innocent and just flies by, so they dismiss it s a threat but soon enough that same flying drone detonates explosives on a beach filled with civilians.

Victor and Luca offer their Intel on identifying the drone used and it appears to be a basic model anyone can get their hands on, they try to connect to victims to find a common link or motive. Hondo talks to Brie to take their father in but she declines due to her relationship getting serious.

Jim helps Hicks and her client in a domestic violence move, he and the boyfriend get into an altercation and soon learn there's been another bombing by a drone. The team gets a lead and find out the suspect, ex-military personnel with a dishonorable discharge, paid a homeless man to buy the drones, but they make one minor mistake by stopping to a Starbucks shop, in a rented car.

They are captured on camera and the police pulls up information on the card he used to pay for the coffee, this leads them back to his residence where they don't find him, but find boxes and boxes of drones and conclude he's planning more attacks, the race is on to find him to stop more casualties. They find out his attacks are personal assassinations against people from the military.

Hondo confronts Daniel Sr. and tells him he can't stay around because he fears he'll do more harm than good and bases this decision on their rocky father and son relationship. The team figures out when and where the drone bomber will strike next, at a convention filled with students and they plan to stop him.

They come up with a plan to lure the speaker who is a colonel away from the civilian army students, instead of him giving his speech they whisk him away into a car and the drone bomber falls for the diversion.

The plan is to have all the drones follow the car away from the school and they track the bomber, mid chase they enter a parking garage which buys them time to make a car swap, they quickly switch cars to the same make and model, but that's a decoy because it's empty and being driven automatically by a computer-controlled by a officer, that's the one that exits the garage and continues on as if it's actually holding the team and colonel, the drone bomber doesn't suspect anything and they are able to make him attack the car to detonate the bombs, once he does that they locate and track his location and go after him.

They suspect leads them to an abandoned warehouse and leads to a shoot out, they find out his motive behind the attacks he's scorned his foreign lover was killed by the U.S the same country he was serving, they get a clear shot and bring him down and take him into custody.

The team then goes off to compete for their first original mission to nab the celebrity thief and they do just that. Back at the house Hondo decided to bring Daniel Sr. home with him and Darryl knowing it will be awkward for Hondos mother, they all go in and she states they'll just have to make it work, Daniel Sr. excuses himself to the bathroom and en-route coughs up some blood in a handkerchief, he quickly hides this from Hondo who doesn't see the handkerchief but seems worried about his father, but Daniel Sr. states he is ok and goes off into the bathroom.
