"1000 Joules" is the tenth episode of the second season in the remake version of S.W.A.T., and the thirty-second episode overall, which was aired on December 6, 2018.
Summary[]
When dozens of DNA kits and evidence from LAPD crime lab are stolen, injuring one of the technicians, Rebecca, who happens to be close friend to Hicks, the SWAT team goes on an all-out hunt to recover them. Though at first, they think the thief was related to a criminal waiting for trial, they end up discovering the thief was someone wanting to profit from selling the evidence to the culprits. Thanks to Rebecca having the cool head to hide a shell while bleeding on the floor, they're able to capture the thief. Meanwhile, Deacon faces financial difficulties which makes him hard to focus as the leader of the SWAT annual holiday toy drive. When the department wouldn't give him a new credit, Luca offers to lend him the money he needs.

- Molly Hicks has been introduced for the first time.
- 1000 Joules is a metric unit of energy, making it unfamiliar to most Americans. To make the value more real, 1000 Watts is the transfer of 1000 Joules in one second.
- There is no way any evidence would be acceptable in any court proceedings once any of it was out of control of the lab/police. All affected cases would be subject for dismissal or try and get plea and confession ASAP.
Goofs[]
- In the briefing room swat members say the criminals purchased stolen fos-tech origin 12 shotguns from a dealer. When the criminals are seen getting the weapons out, they have aa-12 shotguns which are a different weapon from a totally different manufacturer.
